لە دڕێژەی کار و چالاکییەکانی فاکەڵتییەکەمان، ڕۆژی پێنجشەممە ٢٠٢١/٦/٢٤، کاتژمێر (٨:٣٠)ی شەو، سمینارێک بە شێوەی ئونلاین لە لایەن "د. ئاکو دارایی " مامۆستای بەشی ئەندازیاری شارستانی بە ناونیشانی:Determination of critical saturation degree in rocks based on maximum loss of uniaxial compression strength and deformation modulus پێشکەش بە ژمارەیەکی بەرچاو لە مامۆستایان کرا.

Strength and deformation modulus are two
basic parameters in rock engineering designs. So far,many studies have been doneon the effect of the watercontent on the foregoing two parameters all of whichemphasize on the reduction of them by increase ofwater. In spite of performing many studies carried outin this field, two important questions have beenremained unanswered: (1) Is there any degree ofsaturation in which the greatest variations in compressivestrength and deformation modulus occur? (2)Does the saturation have more effect on the strength oron the deformation modulus? This matter has been
discussed in this paper by conducting uniaxial compressivestrength tests on 78 rock samples from 4different lithologies in two dry and saturated conditions.The results showed that the compressivestrength and the modulus of deformation have the
highest losses in the saturation water content rangingbetween 0.2 and 2%, and the modulus of deformabilitydecreases more than the compressive strength. Inaddition, the loss of compressive strength and deformationmodulus is independent of the rock strengthclass proportionate to the saturation.
