Dr. Kamaran is a Lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering of Soran University. He completed his BSc in 2004 in civil engineering in Salahaddin University-Erbil, then joined the same department and started working as demonstrator and civil engineer until he received his MSc in the same university and started working as an assistant lecturer in 2009. In 2012, he started his PhD in Concrete and Earthquake Engineering Research Group at the University of Sheffield and awarded his PhD in 2016, then joined civil engineering department of Soran University. Apart from teaching various engineering subjects such as Engineering Mechanics, Strength of Materials and Reinforced concrete, he conducts research on shear capacity of non-flexural members and strengthening and rehabilitation of structural elements.
