It brings me great pleasure to welcome you to SUN's Engineering Faculty. I spent a significant portion of my professional career in the hallways, classrooms, and labs of SUN's Faculty of Engineering, and I feel it is hard to list all the Faculty's accomplishments; nonetheless, I will highlight a few of them quickly. The Faculty of Engineering is made up of Four scientific departments: Petroleum and Mining Engineering, Civil and Environmental Engineering, Mechatronic and Robotics Engineering and Chemical Engineering. All four departments work together to achieve our aim of graduating engineers who are competent to operate in ever-changing markets. The Faculty of Engineering has an experience in community services and environmental development. We are ambitious and hard-working academic community which allows us to develop the faculty in all aspects despite regional hardships. We have managed our accomplishments as a community via substantial institutional effort. Finally, I hope that visitors will find valuable information about the faculty, and I wish the best of luck to all students, employees, and administrative members. I welcome our foreign counterparts to contact us so that we may identify a common ground for partnership and institutional relations.

Welcome to FENG. I am Dr Jamal A Kakrasul the dean of the Faculty of Engineering (FENG). This is where we make a difference to create future engineers with innovative minds. I as the dean of FENG have more than ten years of professional and leadership experience in the design and construction of civil engineering-related projects, having served for more than three years as the director of Soran University's Department of Engineering and Construction. By adding some real-world experience to the teaching job, I feel my work background makes me a very successful teacher. At the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas, I got a PhD in Civil Engineering with a speciality in Geotechnical Engineering. Since 2021, I've been the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at SUN.
